The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Southeastern Idaho, indicating that isolated thunderstorms are expected to form over the region this afternoon.
According to the NWS, “The storms will be capable of producing gusty winds, small hail and brief, heavy rain showers.”
Isolated thunderstorms are possible again on Thursday afternoon and evening, however the chance of severe weather is low.
The chance of precipitation for the Pocatello area is 90 percent on Thursday and 40 percent on Friday.
A cold front is expected to move into the Snake River Plain on Thursday night and continue through Friday night.
Thursday’s high temperature is expected to be about 62 degrees Fahrenheit, and the high for Friday is 48 degrees.
