Portneuf Valley Brewing will host Phoenix Risen on Friday. Then on Saturday night, Best By Yesterday will give an acoustic set for Singer/Songwriter Saturday. Both shows are in the Loft from 9 to 11:30 p.m. There is no cover.

The Pocatello Elks lodge will again be having the community Easter Egg hunt on Saturday in lower Ross Park. All Pocatello and Southeast Idaho families are invited with the egg hunt to start at 10 a.m. There will be different age groups to allow all children to participate. The Easter Bunny will be there to meet everyone and to have pictures taken. More than 10,000 eggs will be hidden in the park with special eggs for prizes in each age group. As a very special prize for each age group, there will be one shiny egg for a “big” prize!

A quick note from the Senior Activity Center regarding weekly activities. They host Karaoke every Thursday at 7:30 pm. DJ Steve Riley hosts Friday evening dances beginning at 7:30 p.m. featuring music from the 1930s to today. A beginning digital photography four-week class starts April 5 and continues April 12, 19 and 26 at the Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main St., from 5 to 7 pm. The instructor is Richard Albright. The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market is pleased to announce their Spring Vendors Meeting will be held April 7. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. The market will be accepting new produce, agriculture and food vendors, and those folks are welcome to attend the meeting and learn more about the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market. The 28th annual Rocky Mountain Writers Festival is coming to Pocatello April 11 to 14. Events for the evenings begin at 7 p.m. and are free to the public to come and enjoy!
