POCATELLO — The Pocatello Police Department arrested multiple people for drug crimes in separate incidents over the past few days.

The first arrest occurred Friday afternoon after police responded to a disturbance and located a 24-year-old woman who was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

Elisa Michelle Ginter has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). According to court records, she is being held at the Bannock County jail on a $15,000 bond.

According to Pocatello police, officers responded to the 600 block of South Fourth Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman in a pickup truck. Officers made contact with the individuals, one of whom was Ginter.

Ginter was soon taken into custody because she had three outstanding warrants for her arrest. After she was arrested, police said officers found her to be in possession of meth.

A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. March 19 at the Bannock County Courthouse.

In a separate incident on Saturday afternoon, a 29-year-old man who was being arrested for multiple warrants was found to be in possession of meth, heroin and a syringe, authorities said.

Bryan Eric Huff has been charged with one count of felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and one count of felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin). According to court records, he is being held at the Bannock County jail on a $10,000 bond.

According to police, an officer spotted Huff in a vehicle near the intersection of South Fifth Avenue and East Clark Street. The officer recognized Huff and ran a record check and discovered that he had four outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Since Huff had left the scene, an attempt-to-locate was issued and he was later apprehended in the 1000 block of West Clark Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

As Huff was being taken into custody, police said officers found meth, heroin and a syringe on his person.

A preliminary hearing in this case has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on March 19 at the Bannock County Courthouse.

In a separate incident on Saturday evening, a 58-year-old man who was creating a potential traffic hazard was arrested for allegedly possessing meth.

Kevin Chandler Grimm has been charged with one county of felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). According to court records, he is being held at the Bannock County jail on a $5,000 bond.

According to Pocatello police, an officer spotted a vehicle facing northbound on Wildlife Way near Barton Road at approximately 7:50 p.m. Saturday. Police said the vehicle was parked and had its lights off. Due to inclement weather at the time, police said this posed a safety hazard for motorists in the area.

The officer made contact with Grimm, the driver of the vehicle, and found him to have an outstanding warrant. While taking him into custody, authorities said he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

A preliminary hearing in this case has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on March 19 at the Bannock County Courthouse.

In separate incident at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday, police said a 24-year-old woman crashed her car into a telephone pole and was later found to be in possession of painkillers that she did not have a prescription for.

Bailey Elizabeth Perschon has been charged with one count of felony possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone) and one count of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

According to Pocatello police, officers responded to a report of a vehicle striking a telephone pole near the intersection of North Fifth Avenue and East Hayden Street.

Officers made contact with Perschon, the driver of the vehicle, and arrested her for driving under the influence after she exhibited signs of intoxication. Police also said she was also found to be in possession of oxycodone. Police said she did not have a prescription for the painkillers.

A preliminary hearing for the controlled substance charge is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on March 12 at the Bannock County Courthouse. A pretrial conference for the DUI charge is scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 29.
