MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — Law enforcement officials in southwestern Idaho say a 22-year-old Meridian man has been taken into custody on suspicion of impersonating a police officer.

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office says the Meridian Police Department on Saturday arrested Christopher Wayne Roden on a $100,000 felony warrant of Unlawful Exercise of Police Officer Functions.

Authorities say that a 24-year-old woman on Feb. 12 reported being pulled over by an unmarked vehicle with flashing lights on U.S. Highway 95.

She reported the man didn’t have law enforcement identification but did wear a sidearm. She gave authorities a description of the man’s vehicle and license plate number.
